STRENGTH: SNATCH BALANCE -OR- OVERHEAD SQUAT
We worked the OHS last week, so I thought today we could move our way to the snatch balance this week. This movement is great for all of us needing to build confidence and skill in the bottom of the snatch. We will go over the movements and points of performance before we begin. As a side note, if your Overhead Squat leaves a lot to be desired, or you need some work with your mobility, let’s do that instead. We can make this successful for everyone!!!
WOD: ‘343’
For Honor and Respect of the Fallen (with a partner):
100 Deadlifts (145/115)
100 Power Cleans (95/65)
100 Ground to Overhead (45/35)
43 Burpees
Build your barbell starting with lightest weight needed (45/35) for ease of lowering weights between each movement. Build up to the other weight based on this principle. All barbell movement reps must be split equally between partners. Both partners must complete 43 burpees.
This “343” Hero WOD was created and dedicated to the 343 FDNY firefighters who lost their lives on 9/11/2001 in the terrorist attacks on New York City.
