Strength: Back Squat (8-8-8)

We made it everyone! We all successfully completed the Hypertrophy cycle of the last 8 weeks. Hooray! That means, as a reward, we all get to experience de-load week. As you can see from the listed reps above, the volume has backed off significantly, as will the percentages for each set.

Weight percentages for each of the sets will be on the whiteboard.

Did you know that the CrossFit Games begin this week (Wednesday, if you want to get specific)?! So, I thought we should have a little bit of fun all week long to celebrate. I searched through the ENDLESS amounts of WODs on Crossfit.com and programmed .com WODs for the entire week. I’m pretty excited about it and you should be too!

In addition to having a little fun with the WODs this week, we will be live-streaming all of the action on the TV screen. So, if you get to the gym a little early or you have the flexibility to stay a bit after class to watch, please do.

Finally, please join us for a potluck after the 5:30 pm class on Friday (8/3) to watch the final event for the day. They haven’t released a full schedule of the event times yet (because the events themselves haven’t been released), but I think it is safe to assume there will be a ‘Friday Night Lights’ type of event around 7:00 pm. So, if you are free, please bring a dish/drink to share and join us for even more fun!!!! Plus, we can watch the event teams and see if we can find Paul and Marcus who are volunteering all week. It is pretty much like Christmas for CrossFit!!!!!
