STRENGTH: FRONT SQUAT (4-2)
Today we will continue taking more of a strength cycle approach to our front squat work. This might look like the rep scheme from Savat Strength, and it is; kinda, but not really.
When we cycle through Savat Strength we use percentages from the chart as a reference as to how to load the barbell for each set. This cycle has us taking more of a ‘feel-based weight loading.’ The past two weeks should have given you a good feel for where you are. We will continue how we started, and we will carry it out from our previous working weight. So, hopefully you wrote down the numbers that you did last week. If you went home and thought you had more in the tank this would be the time to add some weight to get more ‘dialed-in.’ If you thought you were spot on last week, then you will add a little more weight to make up for the fact that our reps have decreased some this week. Basically, MORE WEIGHT (said in a Mike Savat voice).

We have a special birthday today! It is Molly’s (AKA The Terminator) 21st Birthday! You may be thinking, “Why is she still in town? Haven’t all the college students gone home?” Well, I like to believe that she stayed in town for this special Birthday WOD. That may or may not be the truth…
In related news, she will be leaving us for awhile. She is off to study abroad next semester, so come on in to not only say ‘happy birthday,’ but also see her off!!!
