STRENGTH: Split Jerk

Let’s keep moving with our work with the split jerk. Last week, we spent a good amount of time talking about the basics. We will briefly review the footwork and technique on the colored tape pieces. In addition to footwork and technique, the speed as to which you catch the bar is vital to a successful lift. So, today let’s focus our energy and strength there. Of course, you are more than welcome to spend some additional time dialing in the footwork aspect! Remember, technique and confidence is the key to olympic lifting, don’t go above 75% of your 1 RM unless you are completely dialed in.

We get to start the work week off right with a Birthday WOD! It just makes Monday that much better! Come join us in celebrating Sarah DeLano! Luckily, for her, the strength today ended up being in her pile of ‘likes,’ so she got her birthday wishes granted for both strength and the WOD. Doesn’t get better than that!
