STRENGTH: Squat Clean

We’ve spent a few weeks working and drilling the basics of the squat clean. We also worked on the squat clean from the hang position recently. Let’s talk about that ‘first pull’ today and then work singles going up in weight.  If you get a weight, but your form is questionable, stay there for a second effort.  If that second effort is no better, go back down a bit.  Form over ‘just getting it.’ Relatively similar to the format used on Monday for the split jerk!

WOD: 11.3

5 M AMRAP

1 Squat Clean (165/110)

1 Push/ Split Jerk

*You must complete the squat clean before moving on to the jerk. You must complete the jerk before moving on to the next squat clean. If you miss a jerk you may power clean the bar to set up your jerk attempt.
