STRENGTH: Snatch Balance -or- Overhead Squat
I know this won’t be popular, however, we will be making our way from the Power Snatch to the (Squat) Snatch. Before we take that final leap, I thought we would work the snatch balance. This movement is great for all of us needing to build confidence and skill in the bottom of the snatch. We will go over the movements and points of performance before we begin. As a side note, if your Overhead Squat leaves a lot to be desired, or you need some work with your mobility, let’s do that instead. We can make this successful for everyone!!!
WOD: For Time
In a team:
5 K Row
- Everyone will be on a team, team size will be dependent on class size (think 5 or 6 people). The goal is to get to 5,000 m (5K) the fastest. Teams will have to pick an order for their teammates and each member will row 250 m before tagging off to the next team member.
It’s Bubba’s Birthday today! He informed me that he likes to row, so I thought we would bust out the Team 5K Row! It proves to be an absolute blast every time we do it! Come on in, get on a team and celebrate Bubba’s special day!
